Summary:

In this industry engagement session, KPMG Origins covered the prototype screens for creating, viewing and renewing a movement authorisation (also known as consignment authorisations) as well as a live demo on how to create, view and share Agent’s Agreements. Feedback, comments, and insights from the 1:1 sessions and group sessions with industry were taken on board to create requirements and inform the screen designs. This playback session was the opportunity to validate the designs and get insight on usability as well as gather feedback to further iterate and improve.

The session followed a live demonstration and then invited participants in the meeting to provide feedback on the workflow through both survey form as well as facilitated Q&A discussion.

The video below provides a recording of the session.

Key Takeaways

  • Industry liked that the system provided reason for movement authorisation rejections and ability to edit existing information.
  • Appreciated how effortless movement authorisation renewals were through the duplication capability. Proposed ability for system to notify on approaching expiry and prompt an automatic renewal.
  • Need greater clarity on requirements between states and different waste types for creating Movement Authorisations and Agent Agreements. Industry would like to have more informational and educational content in system for why they are required to do certain tasks and when.
  • Interested to further understand viewing permissions on information in system.
“Can you see the movements you applied for only or all for the entire company you work for?”
  • Industry liked the workflow for Agent’s Agreements but had concerns towards their necessity in system. A simplified process was proposed with a tick box to indicate a relationship with an agent and, most importantly, whether it can be initiated going forward to avoid strenuous retrospective upload.
