Summary

The second round of industry engagement is focussed on the process of updating movements with pick-up and drop off details. The project team focussed on more 1:1 sessions this round and the summary of the focus and findings is shared in the video below. Note that process for adding the fate of waste, final weight, and adding consignment authorisations will be covered in future workshops.

The video below provides a recording of the slide presentation.

Key Takeaways From 1:1 Sessions:

  • Paper certificates are time consuming to complete and have poor durability.
  • The current process doesn't cater for some of the more complex waste transfers such as milk runs and multiple trucks for one transfer.
  • Consideration required for how the solution will support rural areas or locations with no internet areas.
  • Pre-population and automatic form fill out capability of solution well received; industry enthusiastic to have this feature wherever possible.
  • Caution not to introduce added perceived admin for waste transport drivers as will lead to adoption hurdles.
